Dear Experts,
Below is my scenario:
When an employee completes 5/6/7/8 years of service we need to add 1/2/3/4 days Quota. Normally on 1st Apr Annual Quota will be generated which is of 21 days with a validity intervals April - March
Employee is completing his five years on 10th Apr, now my question is it possible to add 1 day to same quota with different validity interval(10.04.2014 - 31.03.2015) ? if yes how can we handle this scenario
thinking that it is not possible to add 1 day to the same quota with different validity interval, i have created one separate quota type for Anniversary quota and adding that extra 1 day to the Anniversary quota type. now my question is i need to this 1 day quota to Annual quota on next Apr that is on 01.04.2015. is this possible ?
Example: Employee Joined on 01.04.2009 and employee is completing his 5 yrs of service on 10.04.2014.
On 01.04.2014 21 days of quota (Quota Type 10) will be generated and the validity interval is
01.04.2014 - 31.03.2015---- 21 days
now he completing 5 years of 10.04.2014, so we need to add 1 day to the quota type 16,
10.04.2014- 31.03.2015--- 1 day
is there any solution where we can add this 1 day quota to Quota type 10 in next Apr i.e. 01.04.2015 - 31.03.2016--- 22 days and so on .....
Thanks,
VS

Hi VS,
You can achieve it define the other period in validity interval note and in the generation rule you define the accrual period as same.
Check and let me know.

Hi VS
This can be achieved by an custom PCR in the time schema for the quota generation.
You need to maintain the hire date in the date specifications Infotype 0041 (ex:- type K2)
In your PCR you can put a decision using the below operation: HRS=YDAYK2
This helps in calculating the number of years between the time evaluation date & your hire date.
Write logic like if the number of years is only equal to 5 / 6 / 7 / 8 then add 1 day to the quota timetype which will be used for quota generation in the generation rule.
This 1 day will get added to the existing quota record with validity date 01.04.year - 31.03.year+1
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
In case if you are using RPTQTA program for quota generation then, create multiple base entitlements like :
Year 0 to 1 = 21 days
Year 1 to 2 = 21 days
Year 2 to 3 = 21 days
Year 3 to 4 = 21 days
Year 4 to 5 = 21 days
Year 5 to 6 = 22 days
Year 6 to 7 = 22 days .... so on
RPTQTA program will prorate when you frontload the quotas.
Hope this helps.
In that case, create an separate accrual based quota & generate it through PCR rules using operation: HRS=YDAYK2 (as detailed above).
a) Quota 01 = 21 days with validity dates 01.04.2014 - 31.03.2015
Base entitlement is 21 days
b) Quota 02 = 1 day with validity dates (anniversary completion to anniversary completion+365 days)
Base entitlement is Year 5 to 6 = 1 day
Year 6 to 7 = 1 day .... so on
Hope this solves your query.
