EKPO table generally refers all the Purchasing document for which there is an data base entry done..

Like in EKKO we have several fields for which we can an filter for which type of document we can get based on filters.

we have this field BSTYP is EKPO based on which during your search you can filter for only those documents which you need.

Like,

ARequest for quotation
BPurchase requisition
FPurchase order
IInfo record
KContract
LScheduling agreement
QService entry sheet
WSource list

I and W is just an entry in BSTYP,  but it is not having any relevant in EKPO table.

Rather this is valid for I in table EINE and W in the table EORD.

Hi,

BSTYP is domain element and used in several tables (EBAN, EORD, EKKO ......)

The entries I and W  may be inputs for other tables not in my knowledge.

but if you want to find out go to se11 enter bstyp in domain and used where used list, it will fetch you all tables associated to it.

so you have to discover yourself , once you get it post for the sake of scaling others as well

SACHIN GAMBHIR

This is my question in the most simple way.in the Purchasing item table , Purchasing Document catg get updated in the table EKPO based on the nature of the document (in generic term)  say Contract, PO (see the screen shot above)

If i create Purchase order , F will get updated.

If i create a Contract , K will get updated.

If i create " what " , I or  W will get update ? this is my question

If you create PR, B will be updated but in a different table ( EBAN). Probably W is getting updated in some other table

As I explained you , its not always related to document creation , as a base element it can be used in other tables.......in configuration also

Refer table t160 which is a configuration table for transatoional data .

for ME11 " I " is updated  and for Me01 "W" is updated.

Hope it answer your query

if you are already in EKPO table, then it should be easy for you to directly supply us with the field name instead of a field label
