A PO number is created, but then they receive this error: “Express document “Update was terminated” received from author “(Buyer’s Name)”.”
EKPO table is not getting update.
EKKO table customize field not getting update.
In the unlikely event there is no short dump in ST22.

Number : 807
System error: error during insert in table &
Transaction code SM13.

This issue widely discussed here in this community. Please check followings;
option-1: PO layout set with message type and your user/buyer have sufficient authorization to PO text print which insist PO to save with a PO number!
option-2:sufficient number range available/open to create a new PO with your PO document type
option-3: Is this issue only for a buyer or for all hence check with GRC/Basis team
