Long text overwriting the existing text in KP06, KPF6 and GP12N

Hi Experts,

I have been posting plan values manually against the cost objects and have been adding long text against a certain period (EX: period 10). Problem is that this text is being posted against all the 12 periods.

If I post a plan value against a particular period with long text, this text is overwriting the existing long text for all the 12 periods.

Could anyone help me with the issue...if any settings need to be changed???

Hi Prathima

I am afraid but the long text is not period specific. I am sure when you are maintaining it, it doesnt even ask for which period you want to enter it (say you are running KP06 for 1-12).

I believe the data is stored in COKP (Atleast i checked for KP06) and there the data is not stored period wise but on unique combination of OBJNR + CE+ Year etc and if TXFLG is ticked, means it relevant for the whole record, even if you have maintained long text by selecting only one period in KP06, for instance.
