Dashboards 4.1 BICS Not Connecting to BW

Hello,

I am experiencing a problem with creating a BICS Connection in Dashboards 4.1 as well as Xcelsius 2008. I can select the system and the query, but in the Input Values, Output Values, and Data Preview, the query data is not appearing. When I use a colleague's ID on my machine, I am able to connect. We have compared our assigned roles in security, but we could not find anything that is different. We also ran a security trace on my ID when attempting to connect to the query, but there were no errors.

Has anyone ever experienced this or have any ideas of how I can troubleshoot further or fix this issue? Please see the screen shots below to see the difference between the two IDs in Data Manager.

Thanks, Javeed. Unfortunately, this link seems like it has to do with the person's installation/setup. I have been using Xcelsius for a year at this client and this problem just started out of the blue.

We tried logging in with my ID on my colleague's laptop and I was able to connect there. The troubleshooting results are as follows:

My ID on both of my laptops (one uses Xcelsius 2008, other uses Dashboards 4.1) - NO CONNECTION

ID on both of my laptops - CONNECTED

My ID on colleague laptop - CONNECTED

Colleague ID on colleague laptop - CONNECTED

On all laptops, I am able to connect to queries in Query Designer, BEx Analyzer and BOBJ Analysis For Excel using my ID. The problem seems to be local to my two computers using Xcelsius 2008 and Dashboards 4.1 and only with my ID.

It seems like we can rule out security, since my ID works on other computers. We can also rule out the installation, since other IDs work on my computer. If anyone has any ideas on how to solve this conundrum it would be greatly appreciated.

We got it to work. I uninstalled all SAP and BOBJ software from my laptop and downgraded IE10 back to IE8. I had updated it to install Design Studio, and that might have had some impact on Single Sign On settings. When I reinstalled BOBJ 3.1, I was able to connect to queries using BICS connection using my ID. I suggest taking caution when installing Xcelsius/Dashboards and Design Studio/IE10 on the same computer.
