Regarding-Positive Time Management COnfiguration help required

Hello Team

We have a requirement where Client is capturing Employees In/Out time through Biometric device- thumb print,Client wants to capture employee all details of Absence/Attendance through SAP system only and will process it for Payroll.

As per my search ,i found this is Positive Time Management with Clock in/Clock out times.and eveywhere it is mentioned that it needs to be done by 2011 and 0050 infotype. and schema TM04. 

but still i'm not able to get the flow of the process of time recording , evaluation and how will it show in payroll. i'm aware about basic config of time mgmt that is holiday calendars,negative time mgmt etc.

So please explain ,how to fulfill this requirement and flow of the process. Which are the essential steps we need to do.

The time data is fetched in payroll (india) schema (IN00) by using XT00.

Hi Abhishek,

For positive time configuration, follow the following steps,IMG path

(a) TM> Time evaluation > Time evaluation recording> Group PSA based on Time recording (Here you have to group PSAs who have same time events recording)

(b) Then follow next step> group Employee subgroup for time evaluation rules. (here group the EEs who have same time events

(c) Then follow PSA grouping for Att/abs reasons

(d) Then follow the PSA grouping for Time recording machine.

After that go to PA30 > maintain IT 0050 for individual EE. It is very important to maintain EE id.

Hi Abhishek,

In case if you want to implement positive time management the Clock-in/Clock-out entries must be maintained in the 2011 infotype and in the 0050 infotype you will be maintaining the time recording info i.e.  Time recording id no.

As your client is using the Bio-metric system here there must be an interface established where the data must be pushed from the external system to SAP i.e temporary table and then  based upon the logic you can update the 2011 infotype from here.

This must be scheduled so that the system gets updated on regular basis. Then coming to the schema TM04 make a copy of it and include the customer specific scenarios (custom PCR's) if any and the time evaluation will be usually executed on monthly basis or you can go ahead as per the client requirement.

The process will be Data from biometric system -> SAP -> 2011 infotype -> Time evaluation(TM04).
