Stock Determination PM Menu

Does any body faced the issue like the one? The stock determination menu is missing in plant maintenance configuration menu.

You have maintained a stock determination strategy in Customizing under Plant Maintenance and Customer Service → Maintenance and Service Processing → Maintenance and Service Orders → Stock Determination in PM/CS Orders → Maintain Strategies for PM/CS Stock Determination.

We are trying to implement material availability check in plant maintenance work orders.

Hello,

You need to have activated business function LOG_EAM_ROTSUB - Refurbishment & Subcontracting (EHP4 / t-code SFW5) to be able to see mentioned by you configuration path:

Plant Maintenance and Customer Service -> Maintenance and Service Processing -> Maintenance and Service Orders -> Stock Determination in PM/CS Orders -> Maintain Strategies for PM/CS Stock Determination.

Function LOG_EAM_ROTSUB contain following:

• Enhanced stock determination for PM/CS orders
• Enhancements in Refurbishment Order
• Enhancements in Subcontracting

Please be carefull with possible activation as once chnages are activated you are not able to revers them.

Hi,

For material availability check, please maintain the Availability Check for Material, PRTs, and Capacities

- Define Checking Rules

- Define Scope of Check

- Define Inspection Control

In the inspection control for release we can decide whether to allow release or not if the material is not available. Also maintain the availability check in the material master.
