HCM -PA : In screen modification one field made stndrd but comes as mandatory in PA30 screen

Hi Team,

For one of the country in my implementation in the screen modification table I could see one of the address  field city  has been made standard by selecting the corresponding radio button.

But when I create address infotype entry for that country it surprises me asking it is mandatory and you have to enter some value.

Can anyone please help me know what might have been the reason for this. I checked the T588M table and could see  two entries exist and without feature attached with different variable keys and in one city has been made required.

If that field is mandatory and it is standard that is not allowing you to move ahead . Make that field to Optional .

It will allow you to save Even, if you dont input in that field.

Also with the screen modification you have to notice which screen number is used in standard.

Hi

Check that which screen is calling in pa30 in that specific field by hitting F4 & then technical name,

is the same screen that you are checking.

standard means that may be mandatory as per the info type requirements for creating,
