Hi,
While processing a Dimension in BPC we are getting the error message which says: Node [00000257, 00000258]: Leaf '270750' already exists as child of node 00000013,
The leaf node 270750 has got a value each in Parenth1 and Parenth2.
For your reference, we are trying to modify certain dimension members on the property values but thay have nothing to do with the mentioned leaf in the error message and also the Parenth1,h2 values are not same as those the dimension members being altered.
Could you please let me know what could be possible reason and solution to this problem?
Best Regards,
Swakshar Choudhury
Recreating the Parent Hierarchy solved the problem.

Hi Swakshar,
BPC doenst allow to use the same nodes with further children in different heirarchies.
In the below example, the first case nodes at level 1 are same in the two heirarchies and are not accepted by the system
While in the second case, nodes at level 1 are different in two heirarchies shall be accepted by the system.
please check if the node 270750 is having further childs and is being used in both the heirarchies.

Raj.

Hi Swakshar,
You can try to run UJA_REFRESH_DIM_CACHE and process dimension again. This makes sure the dimension members displayed on web admin are consistent with BW.

Hi Swakshar,
We can not assign same leaf node as child to different parents .i guess you are assigning same leaf to different parent nodes so you are getting above error.

Hi Swakshar,
Can you provide a screenshot of the list of dimension members mentioned in the error message?

Hi Swakshar,
Are you trying to assign the same leaf to multiple parents in different hierarchies?
