Service Order Settlement for Planned Cost

Hi Sap Experts,

We have a Service order which has the Planned costs but no actual costs posted to this even though they settled the Service order. I do not know the service order functionality,

1) can we settle planned cost without actual cost?

2)If yes than the balance will there all the time, what is the solution for this.

Please throw some light on this

Hi

Some companies do settle the Plan costs also and the same is reflected in the receiver as PLanned cost

Plan cost settlement and actual cost settlement are independent activities.. Actual settlement is a must

Here in my company they do not settle planned cost, they settle only actual cost, and this has the components the screen shot will help you to understand clearly what it is, order is

my doubt is where this components are picking if they really used this componants for this order why they are not updating as actual costs for this order.

Hi..

Components wasn’t withdrawn component from storage to service order but

Service order was completed  partially at 2013.03.31.

If your service order have period settlement method, SAP
create below FI document.

   DR) WIP xxxxxxx    CR) Service settlement  xxxxxxx (Service order)

If your service order have full settlement method, SAP don’t create FI document.

The reason is that Components wasn’t  withdrawn component from storage to service order.

You should check settlemet method.

Hi,

Components actual cost is only updated when they are consumed to service order

so you have to post Goods movement using 261 movement against the Order in MB11

As you know the actual cost of material once posted with Goods movement will be transferred to the Service order from the Material master - Accounting tab

Once you do Goods movement you can see the status on the service order as GMPS

Try posting goods movement and check the actual cost

thanks for your replies, but have not fund the solution, can any one help me in this. the below screen shot is order status.

I am confusing about order status this order shows material availability not checkedMANC bit order has components, please some one throw some light on this and also if you have any material for service order kindly share me.
