How can we use a feature that comes with new version, in the old version of the system ?

Hi experts,

We cannot use a new feature in the sapui5 library in the project because the customer is using an old version?
Is there a solution to this?

For example, do we have no chance of using the multi barcode reading feature of 1.115 on a system with 1.71? Is the solution to this just an upgrade? Is there a challenging but workaround solution?

I am sharing a note and blog I found about this. The solution seems to be an upgrade, but I wanted to confirm again.

if you are ok with running the app standalone, you can load latest ui5 lib from CDN in your index html

But sap probably won't support you if anything goes wrong.
