I have Crystal Reports that run fine in the environment. But I can’t open them up in CR enterprise to modify them. The error is as follows. Can’t find anything on SAP site.
Crystal Reports
Unable to open report
A problem occurred while opening the report from the server.
Please contact your server administrator
Hi Bill,
That's not possible unless the RPT file is either corrupted on the BOE server or you do not have writes to edit the report. As noted in the error message check with the BOE admin to verify you do have rights to edit it.
To clarify, you can open reports using CR Designer except if it's been saved as a CR for Ent. Report. Once saved as a CR for Ent it can then only be edited in CRfEnt.
CR for Ent. is ending life in a few years so I suggest not using that version any longer.
Search the home page for more info.

Hi Don,
Thanks for replying. I'm the administrator and I've also logged in as the administrator and get the same error.
The reports are saved as CR for Ent. And they run fine. No one can modify them due to this error popping up. I guess I'll open a ticket.
We are moving everything over to WEBI. I guess these might be next.
Thanks,
Bill
