Hello again SAP Community Members!

We're back this month to present you updates and new features for the SAP PaPM Cloud Standard Model (SAP Profitability and Performance Management Cloud SM).

If you’d like to revisit all previous published blogposts about What’s New with SAP PaPM Cloud SM, you can use this tag for reference: https://community.sap.com/t5/tag/PaPMCloudSMWhatsNew/tg-p

Modeling Screen

The latest update has removed the Recycle Bin from the Modeling screen. This adjustment aims to avoid confusion, as the Recycle Bin wasn’t designed to restore, but initially meant for storing deleted entities and functions.

Aside from the UI changes in the Modeling screen, a new enhancement is implemented. Previously, upon loading the environment data for the frontend, the system also included runtime artifacts. The runtime information for large environments is significant, as it includes the entire generated SQL code for procedures, annotation statements, and so on.

With the new enhancement implemented, the Modeling screen improves the initial loading time of the environment by not loading runtime artifacts especially for larger environments with a higher number of functions or fields. This allows us to reduce the generated SQL code for procedures, annotation statements, and so on.

System > History Monitor

The History Monitor screen released a new enhancement where you can retrieve an environment version overwritten by one of the historical versions (Snapshot version) chosen from the History Monitor.

When restoring a history version in the History Monitor by overwriting an existing environment, two (2) entries will be created and added in the History Monitor.

First, the system creates a history log with history type “DELETE for the deletion of the overwritten. This history version captures the current state of the environment before the overwriting occurs.

In addition, it is also possible to restore the created history log.

This new feature also allows you to filter the History Monitor logs by time range. This way, you can easily extract the ones coming from a particular period.

(Example: Enter the time in the filter below, and the sample result based on the filtered ranged,)

Administration > Content Network

The Content Network screen has now been totally replaced by Content Management screen in SAP PaPM Cloud SM. This means that the previous Content Network screen can no longer be accessed from the hamburger menu or direct URL.
