How to create Business Roles with required standard apps?

Hi guys,

We need new roles with certain apps, different from standard roles. While new roles may be created I found no option to create new catalogs to assign to new roles. How is that fixed? How do we create new roles with required standard apps?

Dear Customer,

In S/4HANA Cloud authorization concept, there are Business Catalogs which are objects that provides access to applications and there are Business Roles which are objects containing a bunch of Business Catalogs. 

It's not possible create Business Catalogs to provide access to standard applications. 

If you want to create Business Roles with certain apps, different from the Business Role Templates, you can do this by using the Maintain Business Roles app and selecting the Business Catalogs that you want. 

For this, follow the steps below:

1. Go to Maintain Business Roles app
2. Click on "New" 
3. Add general role details, such as Business Role name, ID and description
4. On the "Assigned Business Catalogs" tab, select "Add" to add the required Business Catalogs. 

With that, you can select the Business Catalogs that you want.
