Extending Bank Account Number Length for China

Hello,

We have a requirement to extend the bank account number length (from 18 to 20 characters). Current settings of field in Business Partner is only up to 18 characters.

We have changed the setting via OY17 (Bank Account Number) however, it didnt seem to work and synced well when we try to add a new bank account number in the Business Partner Master data. 

Is there any configuration/setting that we are missing? Thanks

I saw an old OSS note 1585003 which refers to the use of Reference Details field to add the remaining characters if it is more than 18. We have implemented this as a temporary workaround but we are looking for a better solution.

Note: we are in S/4HANA 2021 Private Cloud

Thanks Sanil. Yes, I saw this and have implemented as a workaround solution as I have mentioned above. I was hoping there is a better solution for this where we don't need to store it on the 'Reference Detail' field i.e. change in configuration to adjust the length.
