Count values from a multivalue list in a report

Hello,

In a certain C4C object i have created an extension field of type multivalue. The list holds approximately 10 different values that can be selected by the end user during the creation.

In object ID 1 - Value X,Y is selected

In object ID 2 - Value X,Z is selected

In object ID 3 - Value X, Y, Z is selected

In reporting i would like to count the single values of this multivalues so

Value X = 3

Value Y = 2

Value Z = 2

Unfortunately now the combinations of the values selected are identified as one and are counted. Whereas i want to count the occurence fo the single values of the multivalue list that have been selected.

I tried adjust this characteristic in the report and also tried to add key figures (restricted and calculated) to enable counting the occurance of the individual values. But it does not give the expected result.

Any suggestions how to make this work?

Thanks

MJ

Hello,

After some trial and error, i think i found a solution. It might not be ideal, but it works. Nevertheless in case some of you have a better idea, please feel free to share.

For each value of the multivalue list, I set up a seperate Restricted Keyfigure and selected Key Figure Counter. So my multivalue list contains 10 values and i have created 10 restricted key figures.

I did the restriction on the characteristic (my mlultivalued list), restriction type: Fixed and selected the particular value from the multivalue list.
For the Local calculation i selected Counting All Detailed Values That are not Zero, Null or Error

I have added the 10 key figures to my report. In a report view i added them all to the key figures in the Column Fields area. I added as well the standard Counter. In the Row Fields  i have my C4C Object.

Running the report view shows my objects in the rows and in the colums a 1 if a value from the multivalue list has been selected. I added the standard counter, so that also the objects are shown in which no values have been selected from the multivalue list.
