hello all

in a proccess chain there is a DTP load that fails with message:

"Object requested is currently locked by user XXXX "

Message text Lock NOT set for: Extraction from InfoProvider

Message text Object is locked by user

Exception CX_RS_FOREIGN_LOCK logged

i understand this is caused by another proccess chain that is running at the same time but how can i identify it?

thanks

Hi,

You can see all the lock entries in SM12 transaction. From there you can identify which tables or info providers are locked by which DTP infopackage or any other processes.

Hi,

Unfortunately its not possible to see historic locks . As soon as the lock is released by the process system removes the log.

However you can see the historic logs using SM37 , or process log using SM50 or system log using SM21 and find out the reason behind the lock.
