RSBBS Field Assignment

Hi, I am creating an RRI from Cost center BW report to S_ALR_87013611. I am doing the field mapping for 3-4 fields, out of which the cost center, cost element & conrtolling area are passing successfully but the fiscal year/period and fiscal year are not passing. Any one knows why? I am using the field parameters by doing F1 and technical details on these fields in the R3 report.

kindly help!

Hi Puneet,

In the RSBBS transaction ,for the Infoobjects being used as input variables.please make them as Generic and rest all as Delete in the Assignments of RSBBS transaction after clicking the Query.

Come back if u any issues.

Hi, The generic mappings don't work therefore I have done field mappings. Below are the mappings.

Cost Center KOSTL

Cost Element KSTAR

Controlling area KOKRS

Version VERSN

Fiscal year / period PERBL

Fiscal year GJAHR

accordingly i have defined the other parameters like data element and domain and set/get parameters. The problem is that it passes the values for Cost Center & Cost Element but don't do for other fields like fiscal year/period and fiscal year.

Is Fiscal year / Fiscal period is part of your result row in the source query?

Did you compare the data types of these fields in BW and ECC?

Thanks Guys, I tried with generic assignment and put delete to other unwanted field mapping and it got it working. thanks for your input. I have assigned max points to you both.

Hi,

how did you set the "set/get paramaters" for example for cost center?

Thanks in advance,

Michael

Hi Mike, I just put generic for cost center and cost element and you don't have to put any parameters like data type, domain or get/set. but make sure you select delete for all the other characteristics that you don't want the values to transfer. I just had to do table fields for the controlling area as it didn't pass the values for some reason. below are its values:

field name: KOKRS

Data element: KOKRS

DOMAIN: CACCD

Get/Set: CAC

If you really want then cost center values will be:

field name: KOSTL

Data element: KOSTL

DOMAIN: KOSTL

Get/Set: KOS

Hi Mike, which report are you trying to jump? in my case I am jumping from BW report to S_ALR_87013611. Where I have default settings for cost center, cost element, and fiscal periods. and the rest of the characteristics its delete under the type.

so for cost center you should have below settings:

type: generic

all rest of the columns leave them blank.

I hope it helps!

hi puneet,

what happens if you delete your default costcenter?

Is the costcenter set by the rri call?

Thanks and regards,

Michael

Hi Mike, when you set generic then the rri call maps the fields automatically in some cases where its unable to pass the values then you can use the table fields option. and I have seen that you should mark other non relevant fields as delete.

I hope I was able to answer your question.
