SAP GUI Logon 770 List view not displaying properly

0 Kudos

When launching SAP GUI Logon and using list view the list of connections does not start at the top but rather down in the list, so you have to scroll up every time.

If i switch to Workspace view it loads at the top of the list every time.

Does anyone know if there is a way to fix this? The preference is that users want to use List instead of Workspace views.

Hi Jason

Are you getting the same issues in all SAPGUI 7.70? or only in this desktop or laptop? can you try the same options on some other desktop or laptop?

Hi Lesko

Try to uninstall the SAPGUI by removing the SAP folder under the program files folder and do the reinstallation again with the latest media downloaded from the SAP service place. it may be a problem in the installation media.

I believe so yes. This is what we are running. The issue has been seen since as early as 7.4 Path 3 Hotfix 1

Hi Lesko,

I am working with version 7.70 Patch 4 (not the hotfix 1) and I don't see the issue you are mentioning.

List view starts at the top.

Anything related to the XML file?

Best regards

Louis

which of the three XML files should i be looking at? I have the SapLogonTree.xml, SAPUILandscape.xml and SAPUILandscapeGlobal.xml

Here is SapLogonTree

<?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8"?>
<!--  SAPGUI for Windows 7530 1 10 1 2022 12:38:54 Eastern Standard Time -->
<SAPTREE version="7700.1.4.1162">
	<Files>
		<File type="Connections" name="saplogon.ini"/>
		<File type="Shortcuts" name="sapshortcut.ini"/>
	</Files>
	<Nodes>
		<Favorites name="Favorites" expanded="1" uuid="e53b4d39-53cd-4cc4-846c-91f9e4b8f573">
		</Favorites>
		<Shortcuts name="Shortcuts" expanded="1" uuid="528925d2-47de-4bd8-b8b8-e5daa002ca94">
		</Shortcuts>
		<Connections name="Connections" expanded="1" uuid="f08fef60-0132-442e-b670-5fb774bf6891">
		</Connections>
	</Nodes>
</SAPTREE>
There is a lot of stuff in SAPUILandscape, and some stuff in LandscapeGlobal, but i don't really know what i should be looking for
