Dear experts,
I am just trying to use migration tool, to to migrate scenarios from a PI 7.10 SP4 Dual stack system to AEX 7.40 SP5 single stack system.
as described in several blogs and also teched session POP262
I added the PI dual stack system manually
During step 2 of the migration procedure "scenario selection" I am able to search for scenarios, but not all objects e.g. receiver determination are displayed and when I select one and proceed to step 3 "scenario matcher" following error message is shown
Cannot migrate scenario. Details: Cannot find a sender agreement object for this scenario; sender agreement object might not be activated in the Integration Directory
When I check the system the mentioned sender agreement is available and active.
I do not use the option "use secure URL" could this be the reason, but some objects have been displayed in step 2?
Is there a problem with PI 7.10?
Any help appreciated.
Best regards
Jochen
Hi Jochen,
The last i heard of the compatibility for migration tool, PI 7.10 is currently not supported. However PI 7.11(7.1 EHP1) is supported.
Please check with SAP once if the content migration tool is supported.

Hi Sriram,
thanks for your reply, obviously your are wright.
please check SAP note 1947444 - Scenario Migration Tool fails to migrate objects from PI 7.10
obviously a special level of SWC SAP_XITOOL is needed
As I am not a basis guy I am not sure how complex it is to update this component. Following the download link several dependent SWC are mentioned.
Software Component Version | SP | Min. Patch Level |
ESR 7.10 | SP007 | 000044 |
J2EE ENGINE CORE TOOLS 7.10 | SP007 | 000001 |
MESSAGING SYSTEM SERVICE 7.10 | SP007 | 000050 |
XI ADAPTER FRAMEWORK 7.10 | SP007 | 000005 |
XI PCK 7.10 | SP007 | 000004 |
Are there any updates on ABAP side needed as well?
As this was a kind of pre-test for a planned migration from a customer 7.11 system, I would be nice to get this issue solved with minimum effort.
Maybe someone could share his/her experience regarding updating Java SWC.
Best regards
Jochen
Hi Jochen,
The components in the note 1947444 are Java based and should not be complex to upgrade. As mentioned in the note the patch upgarde provided as part of this note just changes the implementation for already present API to support the content migration tool. Please get in touch with the Basis folks to get this done.

If the actual migration is gonna happen from PI 7.11 system to 7.4 then i dont think this patch upgrade is required.

Hi Jochen,
Below are the limitations for using the Migration tool.
Below is a chart summarizing the AAE limitations of the different PI releases: Feature | PI 7.1x | PI 7.30 | PI 7.31 |
IDoc Adapter | O | Pj | P |
HTTP Adapter | O | P | P |
WS Adapter | O | O | O |
ccBPM | O | O | O |
Extended Receiver Determination | O | O | O |
Receiver Rule | O | O | O |
Dynamic Routing for Receiver Interfaces | O | P | P |
Parameterized Mapping | O | O | P |
ABAP Mapping | O | O | O |
Please check if your interface falls under any of this scenario.
Hope this helps.
