Hi,

end of Mainstream Maintenance is set to 31.11.2021. Depending on size of your environment and number of models, it might be time to start planning the ugprade.

Sometimes there can occur some difficulties during models upgrade, especially when the models contain copy&pasted values with restricted characters or any other minor errors from the history or invalid modfications made by users. They usually show up during models upgrade (because internal model checks are being triggered during the upgrade). I`ve seen it many times. And it is better to make sure, that all your critical objects (and its critical properties) made it to new version without any harm. Another thing is that the upgrade must be planned for models and all PD compontents during very short time period (PD clients, PD repository, Repository Proxy, PD Web, sometines PD license server upgrade is necessary too...), because you cannot work with newer models using older PD version. And once the PD repository is upgraded, you cannot connect it with older PD version, etc.

If you need any help upgrading to more current version (16.7 SP02 is the latest today), let me know.

Regards,

Ondrej

Hello,
There is no end-of-life date defined for PD 16.6 yet.
The latest PD release is PD 16.7 SP02.
