Following an install of SAP BI (4.2 SP9 Patch 6) on a new server as part of a server hardware upgrade we've had an issue with the document search, returning this error message:
We have tried restarting the index from CMC ('Application' - 'Platform search application') in CMC, and have restarted the SIA. The Indexing status is 'Running' (for over a week) but the number of documents searched is 0, and the last index time stamp is 1970.
The frequency is set to 'continuous crawling', and level is set to 'Platform Metadata', content is 'Web Intelligence'
Thanks for any advice you can provide on next steps to take to get this working again.
Hi James,
You should move this or recreate it in the BI Platform area since that is a platform search issue.
Also, platform search, especially in production, should always be scheduled, not continuous as it uses the WIPS to index which can cause performance issues.
