V3 updates alerts not generated in Solman

Hello SAP,

We have some customizing alert for V3 updates, but we want to solman also generates it, like below

BASCRIT : on <SID> at Mon Mar 6 03:40:03 EST DIGITS : MANY_V3_UPD

ALARMLOG MESSAGE #105B - A large number of unprocesssed V3 updates exist

The number of pending V3 updates is greater than ZIPCODE in <SID> - see SM13

There are DIGITS unprocessed V3 updates in system PR2

Check with trcn SM13 for updates with status of V2 processed ,

with a date/time which is more than 1 hour ago.

Check for the proper periodic execution of these jobs:

SDOR-WW-H-V3UPDATES

SDOR-WW-O-RSM13005-V3UPDATES


Is any way Solman can do this? we don't have option for V3 updates

Hello team,

SAP Solution Manager System Monitoring workcenter contains a data collector to read data from SM13 :

/SDF/E2E_UPDATE_INFO

There are 2 metrics delivered in System Monitoring over Technical System template SAP ABAP 7.10 and higher:

• Update Status: This is the status of the update process in the system.
  Number of updates in error status (older 1 day) : This is the number of update entries in error status which are older than one day.

These metrics are mapping data from SM13, however as you mentioned you customized V3 updates the data collector probably won't be able to report this data.

We recommend you to test it, in the case it doesn't work you can create your own data collector to map the desired data :
