Use of Oracle Standby database (Setup using datagurard) for System Refresh

We have a query on system refresh. SAP Production system is PR4 and test system is FU4. SAP version is NW 740 ERP 6. Kernel release is 753. DB release is IP_ADDRESS.

Currently SAP PR4 and FU4 database is hosted in Exadata machine RAC cluster with two active nodes. SAP PR4 has a standby database and replication is happening using Oracle Dataguard.

DBA can clone and rename the PR4 standby database to FU4 database which then can be used for refresh of the SAP FU4? Because no restore is involved and coning can be done very quickly, this will save about 30 hrs of DB restore time. Please advise if this approach is supported by SAP.

From SAP point of view,  we only support the method described in SAP system copy guide:

System Copy for SAP Systems Based on the Application Server ABAP of SAP NetWeaver 7.3 EHP1 to 7.52 on UNIX

->6.4.3   Copying the Database Only - Refresh Database Content on Oracle Database
