Hello,
Recently I have encountered some questions about the possibilities to have in Analysis for Office (2.2, 2.3) the "Calendar look" when using values like Calendar Day and not a list of values (drop down list). For example in BEx 7.x and 3.x we can simply select a date from a "calendar list" when speaking about days values.
Here the examples in BEx Analyser 7.x and in Analysis for Office 2.3:
There is any solutions to obtain the same prompt in Analysis?
Best Regards,
Alexandru
Hi Alexandru,
Yes, you can work with calender style on prompts selection.
it is possible with both HANA and BW data source.
Which SP of 2.2/2.3 you are using?

Hi Alex,
Create the "Characteristic value variable" for calendar day in QD.
For steps please see the below screen shot
Screen shot of variable and its properties which i created below in QD
Below screen shot for variable screen and calendar in AO of query which i created above
I tried with both 730 and 740 system it works fine.
If you already tried with 7.3, just give try for 740 also.
Nothig need to set here extra.
Just for your reference:
while creating variable go to "Default values" tab and select change default values and select "single values" from show dropdrown and check values are displayed in calender view format.
Hope this helps you.
Thanks and Regards,
Basavaraj
Please check this note as well
Hello Basavaraj,
Thanks for the replay!
I've seen the points from your example but unfortunately for me I'm having the same in all the queries that are using Calendar days.
So I don't have the prompts by default with calendar day. I still have to manually use the option: Show Access Mode for Memeber Display
I will try the option presented by you in the last post.
Thanks again for your fast answers and dedication to this topic!
Alexandru
