At our organization users access SAP via Citrix servers. We have the users load balanced over 30 Citrix servers. Since I upgraded the SAP GUI to 7.70 the theme keeps defaulting for some users to Quartz theme, rather than the one that the user has in their existing profile. Since the Quartz theme is so different from Blue Crystal or Signature, we want to provide training and documentation for our users before we introduce that theme to them.
I have registry settings in the Computer\HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\WOW6432Node\SAP\General\Appearance\SelectedTheme set to 128 (Decimal) for a new user. I want the Blue Crystal theme to be the default theme for someone who does not have an existing profile.
I do not have SelectedTheme set in the Computer\HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\SAP\General\Appearance section, so that the existing theme in the profile of an existing user will be used.
We have the location of the configuration XML files located in a specific folder on each server and it is set in the options, but I do not know of a registry setting for the location of these files, since it is not as described in the installation guide.
Please provide suggestions as to what I may need to change on the Citrix servers so a new user will have the Blue Crystal theme displayed and an existing user will have the theme they have chosen if they have changed from the Blue Crystal theme.
Regards,
Kathy
Thank you for the reply Jude. I will contract Citrix to see if there is a solution. It seems it may be a Citrix profile issue.

Kathy

Hello Kathy,
You might need assistance from your Citrix administrator, but in general, HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE hive is for all users, and user-specific registry hives are HKEY_CURRENT_USER.
Refer to the administration guide for more information.
