The document can't be retrieved from the File Repository Server after Data Services installation.

We have a Business Objects 4.2 SP5 installation on one server and have installed Data Services 4.2 SP10 on this same server.  After successful installation of Data Services, we are no longer able to open any reports in our Business Objects environment.  We have the ability to roll back to snapshot before installation.  What would be the correct course of action to successfully load Data Services without impacting the existing Business Objects installation?

It's generally not best practice to install both BOBJ and Data Services on the same server - they tend to compete for resources.

I would go to "Servers" in the CMC and check the input and output file repository servers to make sure that they're both running and also pointing to the correct folders for the file repositories.  I would also check the configuration of all of the other file servers and make sure that the SIA is running under the correct account.

If you have to go back to the snapshot and try to reinstall, before starting the DS install, I would go to the CCM and back up the server configuration.  One of the buttons there will allow you to back up the configuration to a .biar file.  Then, after installing DS, you could recover the server configuration from the .biar to make sure that all of the BOBJ servers are configured correctly.
