sybase dbacockpit - no local access

Good day

We have ERP 6.0 EHP7 on Sybase 16 on Linux.

We have no access to our customer IP addresses, we are required to use admin IP addresses. We need to access the dbacockpit, this uses http. When trying to access it we get connection refused, check proxy settings etc.

Does anyone know a way around this issue?

I found a post on here long ago where someone provided a program to run that changes the access type to the dbacockpit from http to webdynpro. I ran this on our other customers and it worked, but i cannot find the name of the program again.

I have checked all the settings according to all the SAP notes, and i also know it works as if we are on the customers VPN dbacockpit works.

Any assistance with this is appreciated.

Thank you

Please check SAP notes 1605680 - SYB: Troubleshoot the setup of the DBA Cockpit on SAP ASE and 1245200 - DBA: ICF Service Activation for WebDynpro DBA Cockpit, and 2813378 - DBACockpit started in web browser tries to open another URL - SAP ASE for Business Suite.

Did you already applied the latest corrections mentioned on the previous notes?

One workaround is to add an entry on your local PC HOSTS file to match the FQDN of the server and the admin IP address. Obviously, if there is a FIREWALL in between you and the server, the server HTTP(S) port should be allowed.

Hi thank you for the response. I have checked the notes and everything in them are in order in terms of setup. I have also tried the mapping of the FQDN to the admin IP and it still doesnt work. The thing is that we need to use a saprouter in order to get to the admin IP's as well. They are not available on our local network for security reasons.
