Stock snapshots with RMCBINIT_BW

Hello

I just realized that programm RMCBINIT_BW (initialization of current stock) can be used for sbapshot scenario.

Lets assume I will schedule with programm for daily run with variant (date and time in future). The programm will add current stock to table MC03BX0SETUP.

Data will be delivered via extractor 2LIS_03_BX.

Its also possible to create a FM based on this programm and load current stock into custom table.

I know that stock can be changed retrospectively but this approach enables fast stock load.

What do u think?

Hi

Yes this approach enables fast stock load , but i dont think you miss any of the posting.

Datasource 2LIS_03_BX , Tcode MCNB and program name RMCBINIT_BW

And you can find the status of your current job or previous initialization jobs through SM37

How big is this table MC03BX0SETUP? Can I load 100 mln recods in total presuming the load will be done every day?

Any down points?

Hi,

You can load as much as you can , but prior to that make sure you execute the job in the background which prevents from short dump.

best advice is to contact your BASIS Foks to increase the IDOC capacity and the packet size in your system
