ST-API Component Not appearing in Saint

Hi,

I am facing strange issue while Upgrading ST API and ST-PI component.

I have followed below steps.

1. Executed RTCCTOOL found below result.

2. Downloaded the relevant as per above information.

3. Uncar the file in the location usr/sap/trans/EPS/in

4. Uploaded the file in SPAM

5. In Saint Transaction selected ST-API component and clicked Start.

6. In below Step ideally ST- API component should appear but its not appearing.

I have cross verified the permission of component in EPS/In directory, it seems to be fine.

Can someone pls advise what could be the issue.

Regards,

Sultan

Hi Syed

For upgrade you have to use the transaction code SPAM (not on Saint, Saint used for any new installation along with SP). refer to the SAP help portal link about the SAINT & SPAM

Hello sultan516

Check the SAINT Log, for missing components, ST-A/PI Patches are not cumulative.
Seems you missed the file SAPKITABC1

Hello roland.kramer ,

Thanks for the response.

I did cross check the Saint logs. The cummulative file SAPKITABC1 is not imported.

However, the file SAPKITABC1 and previous file SAPKITAB9Z are already uploaded.

I wonder why the component ST-API is not appearing to upgrade the component.

Hello Sriram,

Thanks for the response.

I have been referring the below document, it states the ST-API component should be upgraded from Saint and ST-PI Component should be upgraded from SPAM.

https://blogs.sap.com/2014/11/05/sap-st-pi-and-st-api-patch-update-steps/#:~:text=Check%20the%20EWA%20report%20about,version%20based%20on%20SAP%20Application.&text=Once%20if%20you%20able%20to,then%20execute%20program%20'RTCCTOOL%20'.

Anyway, i have upgraded both the component using SPAM.

Regards,

Sultan
