SMQ1 Change Destianation of Queue

we have had some trouble with some application servers, so we decided to shut them down.
Later we have found, in SMQ1 we had some queues with the destination of the shut down application servers.
we searched for a possibility to change the destination, but we couldn´t find one.
Is there a way to change the Queue?
In our case we have started the application server to process the queues and shut them down again. But we want to now if there is a better way in case it happens again, and we can´t start the servers.

Hello,

There is no option to change the destination of an SMQ1 queue. Either the queue must be processed using the destination defined upon the queue's creation, or the queue must be deleted and the data to be re-posted using the desired destination. For the latter option, the data must be re-posted by the application (transaction, job, report) that has created the original queues.
