Screen personas How to overwrite source system

Hello Experts,

I want to modify a persona flavor in another client but as the flavor was transported through TR system is not allowing me to make changes, is it possible to make changes in other system or its mandatory to make all changes in one source system only?

If I do not use TR I can create/change flavor in any system and could use import export for movement but as soon as I attached TR it starts giving below error.

Appreciate your help.

Thanks

RD

Hi Ritesh,

Further to Tamas. Changes are done in the /PERSONAS/ADMIN transaction in the system where you want to make the changes.

I occasionally have to do this in another system that is used to play/test that won't matter and it get's refreshed a few times a year.

Thanks,

Brian

Yes, it is possible - but to avoid consistency issues, it is only recommended in exceptional cases. Otherwise, changes should always be made in the original system and transported across the landscape.

Thanks, is it possible to just add this parameter in url ORIG_SYST_CHECK_OFF=X and it could make it editable. 🙂

I know I am getting too much greedy here 🙂

Thanks

No, this cannot be added as a URL parameter. It must be maintained in the Settings table as Brian's screen shot shows.

I think this would be too big a security risk if that was an option. So, yes too big an ask 😉

Cheers,

Hi.

A simple search returned already answered question from Chris:

https://answers.sap.com/questions/12400075/set--change-client-of-a-flavor-in-screen-personas-.html

You can export your flavor from client aaa and import it into client bbb.

Note that the changes in this flavor, by default, will only be allowed in client aaa (original/source client). Of course, SAP note 2273808 allows you to disable this feature.

So use the note
