Schedule Report not run

Hi,

We have a problem with certain schedule reports. The schedule ran successfully last Friday in CMC. Afterward, the report failed to run and needed manually run to get the report.

The reported error is Error in the file ~tmp3e34cxxxxx.rpt: Database connector error: '80s01 [informix][Informix ODBC Driver]Communication link failure. [Database Vendor Code: -11020]'

I have checked with the database, there is no maintenance during the time the report is generated. The drive D:/ to store the file is also not full.

Please assist on this matter.

The best way to explain this would be "network hiccups".  Sometimes there are random things interfering with network connections or just slowing them down so that they time-out.  I would check the logs for the Adaptive Job Server for the day that the failures occurred to see whether you can find more information about what happened.  

Also, when you see "Database Vendor Code" in an error message, it means that the error number is coming from the database driver and is just being passed through by the system.  The information I found by looking for this error code is "The communication link between Informix CLI and the data source failed before the function completed successfully. If this error occurs consistently, contact IBM Informix Technical Support."
