SARA Archiving Log (Summary) for MM_MATNR

I have about 1400+ old Materials that were mistakenly uploaded last year into SAP. Now I need to archive and remove them. I have been working thru SARA for MM_MATNR and cleaning up the errors, working backwards. I was able to cleanup all the MARD and working on MARC errors. I am stuck on two items:

MBEW: Pxxx plant is assigned to the valuation area (28 objects)

MARC: Pxxx valuation area is assigned to the plant (953 objects)

I believe if I can fix these two errors, that should clear the error:

MARA: Dependent material master data still exists (981 objects)

I have tried MM17 added the Delete flag for both MBEW and MARC but that did not help. Looking for suggestions where to look and cleanup next...

Hi David,

Did you ever get this resolved? I was having some problems when I was using SARA for archiving. I found that using SA38 with programs MMREO050N and MMREO110N would give me feedback on errors for unsuccessful attempts. Then of course I'd chase those down for situations like Info Records or Equipment exists.

I'm going through a batch now and I'm getting:

MARC: 10 use in bill of material

MBEW: 10 plant is assigned to the valuation area

MARA: use in bill of material

MARA: Dependent material master data still exists

I did a search using CS15 and selected to search for BOM usage in Equipment, Order, and Material to see if anything was connected. Found old Equipment BOMs that had the material in them. After deleting the material from those BOMs I was able to clear a batch of materials. I'll update if I find any other solutions as I'm working my way through this. Hopefully this helps.
