SAP syclo Work Manager 6.4/6.5 offline printing option with jasper report

Hello Experts,

We have requirement to print work manager forms in Agentry client with offline capability for windows platform. Would like to know if Jasper Report will be supporting offline print option from mobile device in work manager 6.4/6.5.

normally jasper report will generate file and export as PDF in server path (SMP server installed location/application server location). here we would like to know is there anyway to print forms in offline mode by generating files or printing forms locally in mobile device.

Kindly suggest here.

The answer will depend on the capabilities of the reporting tools you are using. Way back we did use Jasper for a customer to generate an offline report output that could be sent to a local printer on a windows device.

When we did this back then we used the command line actions to generate a local data file and then call another batch file to generate the report output file. Since then, we now have Open UI available which could also be used to provide the integration with something like Jasper.

Ultimately it will be up to you on which path / toolset to use but yes generating offline reports is possible.
