So what is the status now? Are you still working on that matter now? If working, then give the current issue description. What I can understand by seeing the error is that you need to use some another SUM version or setup, this one is not taking/reading your system.

Thanks,

Kaushik

Hi Karthik,

Download the JCE policy zip file from SAP as described in SAP Note 1240081, 1238121.

did you configure environment JAVA_HOME ? Also did you install the latest version of Java ?

please kill the all sapinst.exee and java.exe and try again.

Best Regards

Dear Karthik,

What is your target upgrade and current system version ? It seems you are using SUM SP 1.4, related to new systems like NW 7.5 (kernel 7.50) you need to use SUM 1.5, 1.6 on depends.

Hi,

Have you maintained host entries as like below ? Suggest you to maintain the same .

127.0.0.1 localhost.localdomain localhost

<Server IP>  <FQDN>

Addition to it restart your system once to check again.

Hi Karthik.

Are you starting the SUM tool using the SIDADM user id? is the firewall enabled blocking the ports?

Hi Sriram

Starting the SUM tool using SIDADM and windows firewall is turned off and also the ports 4239/4241 are listening ..

Thanks

Hi Karthik,

1.Try with the ip address of the server instead of hostname

2. Telnet to the server on port 4239 from your desktop

3. Please also check if port 4240 is open (this is also required).

Regards,

Dinakar
