I need to create a calculated measure between two versions.
Example:
Versions: Current Backup and the Base Version
Values in both versions: Sales Forecast Volume, Sales Orders, Sales Actuals
I need: Current Backup Sales Forecast Volume - Base Sales Orders -Base Sales Actuals
Do I need to create a calculated measure for each?
Hi Cravey,
There are two ways do this
1. Create Restricted Measures using Version Calculation input control
you need to created 3 separate Restricted measure and Calculation Input Control for each version and then create calculated measure form these three measures
2.Create table client calculation to compare two selected versions
you need to repeat this steps multiple times
ist between backup and baseSO and use the result with third column
Let me know if it works for you.
Thanks
Bilal

Import connection or live? At story level calculated measure, I think you would need 2 restricted measure for each of those Sales Forecast Volume, Sales Orders, Sales Actuals restricted by the 2 versions. Then you would need a calculated measure to finally subtract the restricted measures created in previous step. If its a import connection you could try a model level calculated measure which will something like below
LOOKUP([Sales Forecast Volume] ,[d/Version]="public.Current Backup" )-LOOKUP([Sales Orders] ,[d/Version]= "public.Base" )-LOOKUP([Sales Actuals] ,[d/Version]= "public.Base" )
