SAP Internet of Things - Cloud Platfrom - can't generate service keys (Quota exceeded)

Hi there,

I’m trying to do API calls to the Application Enablement API as described by Jan Reichert: Ref#1 https://blogs.sap.com/2017/10/13/access-the-sap-iot-application-enablement-apis-using-postman/

To receive the clientid and clientsecret I followed the linked Description on:

Ref#2: https://help.sap.com/viewer/9dfedbe95cbe4a9f9a5ceddbef7f88e5/1.73.0.0/en-US/afe265bcb4ba4c63bcab16f9...

I Tried to create an IoT Instance as described in the steps (13 to 27 [Ref#2]) But I got an error saying Quota of 1 exceeded. Both of my Spaces in my Cloud foundry Subaccounts don’t show any ‘Service: Internet of Things - Instances’ values.

Q#1 Why aren’t there any instances showing up, when there must be at least one?

The ‘Subaccount Assignments’ is showing that the ‘Remaining Global Quota’ is at 0 but I can not see what instance is using it.

SAP IOTAE version: 1.73.0.0
User role: Administrator
two Subaccounts (Cloud foundry (using this one) and Neo)

Hi Christian,

It's difficult to find a solution for that without looking into the Cloud Platform account, but let me try.

When you go to your Globalaccount > Entitlements > Service Assignments and select Leonardo IoT as service in the drop down, can you see to which account it is currently assigned?

redoing the steps 5 to 13 fixed it! Thanks 🙂

Hi Christian,

Happy to help!

Maybe you can add the link to the documentation to the answer you marked as best answer. This will make it easier for others facing the same situation to find the solution.

Thanks

Jan

Sorry, I wasn't updated that there is a new answer otherwise I would have answered earlier. Looking at your first screenshot it seems like it is not assigned to a subaccount yet. Have you done step 5 - 13 as described here: https://help.sap.com/viewer/195126f4601945cba0886cbbcbf3d364/2003c/en-US/7377567381104830bdbd767bd79...

Hallo Jan,

thanks for your reply. I can’t see where the service is assigned. The following Image Shows the IoT Service and the last one shows the subaccount A plus all the Instances.
