SAP HANA on VMware 8.0?

We run SAP HANA 2.0 on RHEL8 with VMware virtualisation 7.0U3j. Our infrastructur team wants to upgrade VMware to 8.0U1a. I only can find support approval up to 7.0U3 for SAP (HANA). 2718982 - SAP HANA on VMware vSphere and vSAN

Is respectively when will be there a forecast to support VMware 8.0U1 for SAP HANA and Netweaver Application Server?

Hi Günther,

yes, ESXi / vSphere 8.0 (incl.U1/U2) is supported (HANA) but only for sapphire rapid CPUs. Just check the official details in my blog. All SAP notes are linked as well. Please check your HANA Revision and RHEL OS level, too!
