SAP CAL installation missing configuration in advanced mode

Hello SAP community,

We are installing SAP CAL on our Azure environment. We would like to specify static Public IP, the DNS and select certificate but no configuration options are displayed in Advanced mode.

Can you please help finding the root cause ? Is it due to our vnet or subnet config ?

Dear Customer,

DNS Settings option is available (if the Appliance Template supports it) only in case of allowed Public Static IP, which is not the case, when you have GatewaySubnet. We recommend you to delete the last one (GatewaySubnet), if it is not used.

Best regards,

Tsvetinka

Dear Customer,

Do you have subnet, named GatewaySubnet in used by you VNET?

Best regards,

Correct, we do have two subnets on our vnet: GatewaySubnet and snet-cal-01, only the latter is selectable in the SAP CAL config.

Dear Customer,

Please select the Public Static IP Address check box in order to use this option. For more information, see our Documentation .

Which Appliance Template are you using? As it is mentioned in provided above part of our Documentation, the FQDN feature is not available for all Appliance Templates in SAP Cloud Appliance Library, so that DNS Settings is not mandatory field during Appliance creation process, it's availability depends on used by you Appliance Template.

Best regards,

Tsvetinka

Hello, thank you for above insights. As you can see on the screenshot in my initial post, even the Public Static IP address check box is not displayed.

I am using the SAP S/4HANA 2023, Fully-Activated Appliance. It confuses me that IP, DNS, certificate configuration options are available when selecting the "SAP CAL default network" but not for our specific Azure vnet.
