SAP BW ADSO Activation triples memory consumption?

Hi,

Why is the memory consumption of the active table without indexes significantly larger than the inbound table containing the same data plus additional columns related to request, datapackage and records?

Details:

I am working with an ADSO modelled as "Data warehouse layer - delta calculation"

When loading 34M records to the ADSO the memory consumption of the inbound table is: 484 MB

However, once the request is activated the active table takes up more than three times as much memory: 1,567 MB

There are no indexes maintained and the compression type of the "memory dense columns" are the same
