SAP Analytics Cloud Embedded Edition - Browser cookies Configuration

Hello,

The SAP documentation https://help.sap.com/viewer/8c9fe042688a4354876cc536267d442f/1.0/en-US/6c132099dec6466381f109d9b611f... explains that the browser settings must be defined to allow [*.]sac.ondemand.com to access cookies & site data.

When the user is an external business partner (ex: a customer), it is not simple to explain him what he has to do in this browser to get an access to his reporting...

Does anybody knows why this configuration is required, and how cookies and site data are used in SACEE ?

Thanks and best regards,

Marc.

As picked up from chrome settings "Sites can use cookies to improve your browsing experience, for example to keep you signed in or to remember items in your shopping basket".

Same is with SAC, when you configure [*.]sac.ondemand.com in your chrome browser settings. Chrome will always allow cookies to be created from this domain i.e. SAC. And that will allow sites from this domain (like SAC) to be able to set and read cookies and maintain user session across activity.

Hope that clarifies.

In the SAP Documentation, you have to allow third part cookies for SACEE in order to let SACEE read cookies and data site of the client application :

"you must allow your SAP Analytics Cloud tenant to read the cookie and site data of your client application."

It is not simply to let SACEE to use its owns cookies...
