SAP Agentry Editor - Client Database Encryption feature missing

Hello,

Recently I have downloaded and started using the latest Agentry Editor plugin 73.0.2.
Under 'Application Security' I no longer see the Option to enable the 'Database Encryption'.

Given that this is a feature of great importance in terms of Security. Could any of you please let me know where this option has been moved in the latest release of the Agentry Editor Plugin?

Hi Madan,

I am an Agenty developer. We have discontinued supporting unencrypted databases in SDK 7.3.0 Agentry clients.

"Database Encryption" option of the "Client Database Encryption" group in "Application Security" section has been removed from Editor.

The "Client Database Encryption" has been renamed "Sharing" and the "Screen Sharing" and "Device Sharing" options in the group are always enabled for user to select.

Client will always encrypt the database after user's first successful login to server.

Client will always export the database unencrypted.

Thanks for the quick response and clarification.
One more question, So, now the end-user always has the ability to export an unencrypted database from the Client and we as an Agentry app developer can't restrict the end-user from doing it.

Will this not be a Security issue? Say in a production environment where the Agentry app is deployed, the ability to export an unencrypted database technically means exporting the sensitive Production data unencrypted?

Is there still a way we can disable the 'Export DB' option from the Client?

Hi Madan,

User must be logged into the Agentry Client in order to be able to export the database.

You may submit a feature request for optionally disabling the 'Export DB' menu item.
