SAML 2.0 Signing certificate renewal for Ariba Sourcing- service provider certificate

Hello SAP Community,
we received a notification for SP provider certificate renewal for Ariba sourcing. We are using SAP IAS as IdP, and I tried to renew the certificate on Ariba side, but there is no way to do so , same for creating a new outbound connection, but certificate validity is same as the old one. How do I renew the signing certificate? as it then done by Ariba team? because I am not able to find a way to do so. 
also is there a way to remove / delete the outbound connection created in Ariba?

The following KBAs seem to be relevant.

According to https://support.ariba.com/Item/view/192337 the new certificates should be released on February 22, 2024. It's a bit irritating that the warning from IAS will be there 3 weeks before we can actually do anything...
