SAC passing parameter from input control with single selection

Dear all

We have created an input control in a story with a single selection for the “PI PSP” dimension. There is a hierarchy in this dimension which we don't want to show, hence we selected "flat hierarchy" in the input filter (leaf element).

Now we would like to pass this single selection leaf element as parameter to a data action.

There is a hierarchy in "PI PSP", but we can not select "flat hierarchy", hence we used "any" (beliebig)

Now we would like to filte the memeberset to this exact parameter..

..wich is not possible, because a Hierarchie is requierd:

We could simply create an "artificial" hierarchy and fill it with <root> as in Pass parameter from input control to Data Action in SAP Analytics cloud | SAP Community but this is a little.. unpleasant.

Do you know of other solutions?

I feel its still a gap in feature and you will have to go that unpleasant way of creating a hierarchy where all members are root.
