Rupee symbol with Tosiba (b-sa4tm-ts12-qm-r) barcode Printer.

Hi All,

I have a requirement to print Rupee(`) symbol with the barcode printer. I am not using scripts or smart forms but downloading it as a text file and executing it as a batch file(in the batch file it is written as 'Text.txt>prn' ) but the rupee symbol is not being printed. I have searched sdn but did not find any suitable solution. Kindly suggest any solution for it. Also how to get the rupee symbol in the output of a general report(interactive or ALV).

It's not about SAP, it's about Toshiba printer. When you send bytes (from a file in your case) to the printer, you must determine how the printer deduces which characters correspond to these bytes. There's a programming guide provided with each printer.

If your question is about printing data from an ALV report, then please explain how you print, what device type you used for your printer, which SAP notes you have read, etc.

Currently, I am using FM 'GUI-Download' to download the file and convert the file to ".bat" (batch file) through the report. But the rupee symbol is not printed. But the ".prn" file provided by the client is getting the rupee symbol printed through the Barcode printer.

For this, I have followed the instruction of SAP Notes: 2009207, 812812, and 1503523.

When the '.prn' file is printed the Rupee symbol is getting printed but with "Batch" file from SAP system or any other text file it is not getting printed..... instead the ` symbol is getting printed.
