How to connect a third party apps (.net) to SAP /4HANA through BTP

Hello,

I would like to know how to connect a third party apps (developed in .net) to SAP /4HANA through the BTP (Business Technology Platform). This apps have been developed for time reporting from employees and also for purchasing goods. We can understand this apps as an satellite of the SAP /4HAN, which is going to be the core system. We are actually running an old ECC6, and preparing the migration to SAP /4HANA. Which modules, options or licences from the BTP do I need (I don't really understand the pricing model of SAP BTP).

I cannot be more precise, as I'm new in the SAP world, thanks for your indulgence.

Best Regards

Hi Damien,

A couple of questions to help with suggesting options. In the target architecture:

1) Where will the .NET apps be hosted?

2) Where will the SAP S/4HANA system be hosted?

Regards,

Mustafa.

Hi damien.rais,

If your S/4HANA system is hosted in Azure, then I would include the SAP Private Link Service and the Azure Private Link Service as shown in the updated solution diagram below. Perhaps martin-pankraz can verify. You will also need to consider integration of your Corporate Identity Provider.

As for your question on BTP licensing, it is best to speak with your SAP Account Executive. Needless to say there will be a cost for using BTP services and you can get unit pricing from the SAP Discovery Centre in the Pricing tab for each service.

Regards,

Mustafa.

Good points Mustafa! The scenario that we described together with SAP refers to SAP Cloud Integration but the approach is applicable to SAP API Management too.

damien.rais would also encourage to have a look at this repos and linked blog post.
