Hello Sap Gurus,
We are planning to Increase the No.of Threads of some adapter on our PI system, as we have found some backlogs in the receiver adapters.
What are the areas we have to look for this ? Below is our current system configurations.
NWA >> Application thread Manager
MaxThread Count - 400
MinThread Count - 100
Configtool >> Manager >> ThreadManager
Maxthread Count - 150
MinThread Count - 10
Note: Suppose, if we want to increase the threads of soap/rfc, would these configuration is sufficient to Increase
Regards,
John
Hello John,
The above settings should be ok, provided you are proposing a small increase to the Adapter threads e.g. from 5 to 10 or perhaps 15. But really the only way you can find out is to do some load/stress testing.
The blog Tuning the PI Messaging System Queues has a lot of good information on the topic of increasing the adapter threads. Having the *.maxReceivers parameter configured is very important for system stability.
Regards
Mark
