ESS leave request can't be sent because of no approver exists

Hi all,

we have implemented ESS-App 'My absence requests' and MSS-App 'Approve leave of absence'.

We have set up 2-stage approval process using workflows. First level approvement - line manager, second - HR department. The approver at the top level / Managing Director of the company cannot create any absences because he is already on the top level and no approver above him can be found.

I hope I don't have to create a new rule group for him? How can I solve this?

thank you! Yes, of course i know WEBMO.

We have 2 requirements:

1. approved leave requests may be only changed by HR-department.

2. Chief is the 'highest' approver and his leave requests are automatically approved.

I've already tried to separate in this way HR-department from rest of the organisation, so that only they could change approved leave requests, but there are too many nodes in WEBMO, so I've got an error message.

We have 2 countries: AT and DE, which I separate via BUKRS (MOLGA doesn't work).

Next step is App-ID: ESS_LR, ESS_TC, ESS_CA. This works (till yet). Hier I can only edit one return value.

Third node is not accepted

(I have attached an example).

I don't know how can I fit it in. Maybe you have some ideas?

Hi annaberg,

you could also use a custom-program to determine and assign the specific rule group for the top line manager.

The Z-program can be entered in the attribute WEBMO.
