can i use only one host to insal SAP IDM 8 component + IDM ASE DB + SAP NW JAVA + ASE DB for NW JAVA ?

is this approach is supported for production ?

Hi Mahmoud,

Your approach with 2 VMs is better and is commonly used.

My only advice here would be to use MSSQL instead of ASE, if possible.

From multiple implementation we have done, the Microsoft DB performs better and has a larger share among SAP IdM implementations.

This, however, might mean that you will have to go for 3 VMs, since one of them will have to be Windows based, because of the database.

can I use Windows VM for SQL DB + IDM Componnets and the 2nd VM for SAP Netweaver JAVA App server?
